Tiptoe prides itself on being a happy school with enjoyment being at the centre of all our classes. This behavioural policy exists to maintain this environment and enable pupils to reach their full potential.
Any disruptive behaviour both in class and in the waiting areas will not be tolerated teachers have the right to ask pupils to leave the class at any time if they feel that their behaviour is either inappropriate or spoiling the enjoyment for other pupils.
If disruptive or inappropriate behaviour continues, the Principal will be informed and the pupil may be asked to leave Tiptoe.
This is essential for individual progression. Please ensure that you are always on time for class and attend regularly.
Where possible, please either inform your teacher or contact the Hotline to report any absences. Where payments are made by monthly standing order or cheque, concessions cannot be made for classes not attended.
Please ensure that you look after your belongings while attending class. Tiptoe cannot accept responsibility for damage or loss of personal belongings.
Please ensure that ALL uniform items are labelled with the pupils name.
Please ensure that the correct uniform is worn to class. If you are unsure, please ask your teacher. More detailed information regarding our uniform policy can be found on our uniform page
If the provisional date and time allocated are unsuitable, please let us know and we will accommodate changes as far as possible, however, where it is not possible to make changes, your child will take the exam at our next session (they will remain with their current class and will not fall behind – they may need to double up lessons nearer the exam as a refresher)
The finalised time and date will be confirmed on the envelope which will be given out approximately 2 weeks before the exam.
If we do not hear from you, we will assume that all dates, times and spellings are correct.
PLEASE NOTE THAT CHANGES CANNOT BE MADE AFTER THE DATE SHOWN ON THE PROVISIONAL INFORMATION – envelopes will be given out after this time. At this time, we also send the details to the examiners and display a finalized timetable on each noticeboard and on the website.
THE TIME AND DATE ON THE ENVELOPE IS THE FINAL AND CORRECT ONE. THE IDTA WILL CHARGE US FOR ALL EXAMS SCHEDULED AND THEREFORE ANY EXAMS MISSED ON THE DAY WHICH HAVE NOT PREVIOUSLY BEEN NOTIFIED TO OURSELVES WILL BE CHARGED.
Exams are often choreographed around a set group – your child not turning up for their exam has a detrimental effect on other children in their group.
We ask you to arrive half an hour before in case the session is running early or people have failed to turn up. PLEASE ASSIST US TO RUN A SMOOTH SESSION BY ABIDING BY THIS.
Please note that if you have several exams/children with exams you can pay for all of them on one cheque (payable to Tiptoe) or cash.
